3 Nights Tanzania Chimpanzees Trekking- Gombe stream National Park
Introduction
This 3 nights Tanzania Chimpanzees trekking allows you to explore the smallest of Tanzania’s national parks. Gombe Stream National Park is a fragile strip of chimpanzee habitat that straddles the steep slopes and river valleys that hem the northern shores of Lake Tanganyika. Its chimpanzees, habituated to human visitors, were made famous by the pioneering work of Jane Goodall, who in the 1960s founded a behavioral research program that now stands as the longest-running study of its kind in the world. Highlights of this safari include chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, fishing excursions, kayaking, barbeques and sundowners on the beach around a campfire.
This itinerary includes flights from Arusha. However, we can amend the program to start from Dar es Salaam or any other city for extra costs, please contact us if you would like to start from any other City.

Itineraries
MONDAY – Morning Shared Charter Flight from Arusha Airport to Kigoma Airport. Airport transfer from Kigoma Airport to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. Dhow boat transfer (approx 2 hours) to the lodge. Staff welcome and introductions followed by lunch. Afternoon/early evening chimpanzee trekking or forest walks (if time allows). Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight at the lodge.

Mbali mbali Gombe Lodge
Shared Charter Flights operate on Mondays and Thursdays only.
TUESDAY – After breakfast, depart for morning chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure perhaps to kayak. Evening sundowners, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
WEDNESDAY – After breakfast, depart for morning chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure perhaps to kayak. Book an optional Boat Safari. Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight at the lodge.
THURSDAY – After breakfast, morning dhow boat transfer (approx. 2 hours) to Kigoma. Airport transfer to Kigoma Airport. Depart with Shared Charter Flight to Arusha Airport with packed lunch. End of services.

Full Board accommodation and meals, six house beverages per day ($10 per additional beverage, excludes premium beverages), unlimited soft drinks and water, packed lunch on departure day, all park fees and government taxes, laundry, vehicle and boat airstrip transfers, internal flights with total luggage allowance of 15kgs per person, guided chimpanzee trek once per day (Mbali Mbali Gombe lodge), and guided forest walks
